Consultation has concluded

Council has received representation from Mosman Church of England Preparatory School regarding congestion of traffic from parents dropping off and picking up their children and wanting to turn right from Shadforth Street into Canrobert Street during school days.

On 1 September 2020 the Local Traffic Committee considered a report on this matter and resolved that community consultation on the proposal to ban right turn movements from Shadforth Street into Canrobert Street during School Zone hours be undertaken.

The proposal is to install a “No Right Turn, 7.30am-9.30am, 2.30pm – 4pm, School Days” sign on Shadforth Street as shown on the attached diagram. As the School starts at 8.30am, it is proposed that the No Right Turn restriction commence at 7.30am.

If the right turn restriction was introduced, westbound traffic on Shadforth Street will have to turn left into Canrobert Street, take a U-turn at the Raglan Street roundabout and then northbound on Canrobert Street.

Council is seeking feedback/comment on the proposal until 6 October 2020.
