Consultation has concluded

The current 5-year licence of Crown Land on Spit Reserve East (R1013329) to Sydney Harbour Kayaks expires on 31 December 2022. Following a request by the Licensee to renew the licence, Council is proposing to grant a further 5-year licence commencing 1 January 2023 and expiring on 31 December 2027 for the storage of kayaks on the licensed area.

The Licensed Area comprises an area within the Land 9.2 metres (NS boundaries) by 6.7 metres (EW boundaries) of approximately 61.6m2 situated to the east of an electrical substation and between the first and third of three trees to the east of the substation and containing two areas separated by the second tree, being the Areas 1 and 2 shown on the plans in the Documents panel.

The lands are Crown lands managed by Council as Council Crown Land Manager under the Crown Land Management Act 2016 and Local Government Act 1993. Council is required under Section 47A of the Local Government Act 1993 to publicly exhibit the proposal and receive submissions.

Submissions close 1 December 2022.
